Kielbasa & Eggs

This sounded kinda gross to me when Cherie told me about it, but she said it was good so I had to try it. 1 lb. Kielbasa (I usually buy turkey, but today we tried the Chicken) Rice-I made about 4 cups cooked Brown Rice Fried eggs Start the rice. Cut up the Kielbasa and fry it in a pan with seasonings. I used garlic powder, onion powder, pepper. While this is cooking, cook your eggs how you like them. (sunny side up). Pile your plate like this....Rice, kielbasa, egg on top. My kids loved this and ate it all up & I liked it too.

Best Barbecued Beans on the Planet

My friend Jodi gave me this recipe today. Her husband makes it and they shared it. It smells and tastes really good so far. We are having it for dinner with some bbq pork ribs. It is alot of ingredients and alot of chopping. It helps if you had jalepenos in your garden and you spent one day chopping and seeding a whole bunch and froze them. It is still worth all the work for these great beans! Serves:12-16 1 pound smoked brisket or bacon cut into 1/4-inch slivers 1 can (15 ounces) black beans 1 can (15 ounces) dark red kidney beans 3 cans (each 15 ounces) baked beans or pork and beans 1 large sweet onion, finely chopped 1 red bell pepper, cored, seeded, and finely chopped 1 green bell pepper, seeded and finely chopped 4 cloves garlic, minced 3 to 6 jalepeno peppers, seeded and diced 2 cups sweet red barbecue sauce (your favorite commercial brand) 1 1/2 cups firmly packed light brown, or more to taste 1/2 cup dijon mustard, or more to taste 2 teaspoons liquid smoke Course salt (Kosher o...

Slow Cooker 3 beans & Sausage

I am trying to organize my recipes. So hopefully I am going to add some more of my favorites to this blog. I love the crockpot! This is good and worth trying! 1 lb of smoked sausage, sliced (Kielbasa) in crockpot Add 1 cup of water to the slow cooker Add Kidney beans, rinsed and drained, to the sausage Add one can of rinsed and drained Great Northern Beans And one can of rinsed and drained black beans one onion, chopped up one can of tomato sauce 2/3 cup of chopped celery crumble up one chicken bouillon cube sprinkle some garlic powder One bay leaf, just remember to remove it before eating Black pepper 1/4 teaspoon of Oregano and Thyme, optional stir and set it on low for 4 to 5 hours Serve over rice. Tip: when it's ready if you find it a bit too watery for your taste, just take about a tablespoon of cornstarch, mix it with a little water to create a sort of paste and add it to the crockpot while stirring constantly, cook it on high for another 10 minutes or so or until it's t...

Kielbasa Skillet

I made this last night and as always I don't think to take pictures of things until later. So I will tell you that we all thought it was really good, even the kids. These are the amounts I did, but of course I just threw this together so you could change amounts depending on family size. I was looking for other Kielbasa recipes and found none that I wanted to try. Alot had potatoes & carrots with seasonings. So I did this one below and would definitely do it again. 1/4 onion (chopped) 1/4 green pepper (chopped) 1 lb. Turkey Kielbasa (Any kind would do) 3-4 potatoes 6-7 whole carrots 1 can corn 1 can diced tomatoes with juice seasonings Directions: Peel and chop potato & carrot and put in a pot of water to start cooking. Cut Kielbasa in half, then lengthwise and then bite size pieces. Chop onion & green pepper. Add onion, pepper & Kielbasa to skillet with 2 tbsp. Olive Oil. Cook until onion and pepper are done and Kielbasa is heated through and a little brown...

Cabbage & Kielbasa

What is Kielbasa? you might say, or at least I did. So I looked it up on the internet and it is those sausage looking things in the hotdog section that look like a huge U. :) :) This is another recipe from Laurel Mills. Everyone liked it, but we had to do alot of coaxing on Justin's part. He just doesn't like trying new things. 1 lg. red Onion, sliced 1 red bell pepper, sliced 1 green bell pepper, sliced 2 T. Olive Oil 1 lb. turkey kielbasa, liced 1/2" or any other kind. 1 lb. bag coleslaw 1/2 c. chicken broth 1 t. garlic powder 1/2 t. each pepper, cumin, paprika 12 dashes hot pepper sauce. Saute onion and peppers in oil Add all else. Cook and stir until cabbage wilts and kielbasa heats through.
